Consistently excellent food and taste. I have been here twice - 1 yr between each visits. What stood out is the flavors and quality is consistent and good. The staff is very congenial as well. I have gotten the salt and pepper chicken, Taiwanese noodles, Fish in schezwan sauce, dumplings, lamb with hot bean sauce - all of which have been good. They have bold flavors but not inedibly hot. If you like good, authentic, hearty Taiwanese cooking and food - this will always satisfy. Atmosphere is unassuming/very modest - nothing fancy. It's the food that speaks for itself here.

Been crazing some really tasty and authentic Asian cuisine and I was on Buford Highway. We decided to go to La Mei Zi in the Asian Square in Doraville. Now, if you haven't been to this place, it's a very small Taiwanese restaurant. The staff is very friendly and nice. They start you out with this cucumber salad. It wasn't over-the-top amazing, but it was very fresh. We ordered the Black Pepper Beef, which was very flavorful. It comes with large portions. We also ordered House Fried Glass Noodles with beef. Those were very good, we also got chicken dumplings which were crispy. The soy sauce was not too salty, but it was just right. So if you're in Doraville and you want to get some authentic Taiwanese food, you should visit La Mei Zi.

Delicious food, huge portions, and fast, friendly service. I can't get over how good the food was and how much we were served. Also, the place may seem a bit dated, but it's big and open seating so it feels quaint and cozy. No complaints. Will definitely return!

Our all-time favorite restaurant! Best Taiwanese in Atlanta! Also service is amazing, Maggie knows our name and even regular order. Highly recommend. Salt and pepper appetizer is a must, our boys love the fried bread with condensed milk, and our favorite entrees include three cups chicken, honey walnut shrimp, shrimp with vegetables, chicken with vegetables, and garlic eggplant… but everything is amazing!

This is my new favorite spot! Asian food is my favorite, so I’m usually a harsh critic, but this food was AMAZING! We had the 3 cups chicken, shrimp fried rice, and string beans with pork. I would re-order all of these again and again. The 3 cups chicken is perfectly crispy, higher quality chicken, covered in a sauce similar to an orange chicken. The shrimp fried rice is well seasoned and not greasy. The string beans have the perfect amount of sauce to bean ratio. This restaurant is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The staff is very helpful and the food will be out usually within 15 minutes. After ordering, they do give you this small marinated cucumber salad that is good to eat before or during your meal.
